December 17 NBD Celebration in Perth Western Australia, and 2020 ABPI Executive Member Election for Bhutanese Living in Perth.

Bhutan’s National Day was celebrated in Perth by Bhutanese Living In Western Australia on 17 December 2019. First King of Bhutan, Ugyen Wangchuk December 17 is a very important day for every Bhutanese since Bhutan got united in 1907 when Gongsar Ugyen Wangchuk was crown as the first King of Bhutan. Every Bhutanese celebrates 17th December as National Day of Bhutan (NBD). This year 2019 the Bhutanese Living in Perth Western Australia celebrates NDB organized by ABPI. This year was very special since ABPI invited government officials of WA, Senator Deans Smith and also took very forwarding steps for building the Bhutanese Community in WA by engaging Bhutanese to participate in ABPI executive member to run smoothly in the future.

Woman cops 34 demerit points in one incident in New South Wales

A woman has incurred 34 demerit points in one incident in New South Wales. December 28, 2019  A woman has been slapped with 34 demerit points for one incident after being stopped during a police operation over the Christmas-New Year’s holiday period. The driver, a woman traveling through the New South Wales town of Katoomba in the Blue Mountains, was pulled over by officers during Operation Safe Arrival, according to  The Daily Telegraph. She was allegedly driving through a roundabout while using her mobile phone, with all four of her passengers - three children and one adult - allegedly not wearing seatbelts. The woman received almost $1800 in fines and incurred a total of 34 demerit points for five offences; one for illegal mobile phone use and four for unrestrained passengers, during the incident. KINGS OF BHUTAN Nearly 200 Bhutanese people gathered in a community hall at Macedonian cultural Centre llinden, Calcutta WA 6021 on Saturday 21th of December 2019 to celebrate National Day of Bhutan and election of Executive member for ABPI 2020. Normally we celebrate our National day on 17 th of December of every year in our country, Bhutan but for Bhutanese living in Perth has to arrange the convenient day due to the tight time schedule for Studies and work. Even then many Bhutanese could not make it to the day only 200 people came to celebrate the day and sources say that there are more than 5000 Bhutanese are living here in Perth for various reasons. On this auspicious day, the Association of Bhutanese in Perth Incorporated (ABPI) is organizing the Election election of an executive member for the Year 2020 (21st December 2020). I came forward to contest in 2020 ABPI executives Election for the post of Event Coordinator to serve Bhutanese Community living away from home and youths in particular by creating platforms focussing more on youth participation. I also came forward to inspire more women participation in such elections in the future and above all to pay my tribute to the Tsa-Wa-Sum in whatever little ways I can if given the opportunity. His Eminence Choeje Tulku Mepham Choki Nyinjed Rinpoche. Perth visit: 9 th -25 th , 2019   All reincarnations were born in Amorimu Choeje, Drupthob Terkhungpa’s Family in Goen. All the four         reincarnations became Jekhenpo except fifth and current sixth one. Choeje Tulku Rinpoche was born on 28/10/1983 in a remote region of Goen Amorima in Punakha Bhutan on an auspicious day, corresponding to the day of descent of the Buddha Shakyamuni from the heavenly realms. His birth was marked with numerous miraculous signs such as sacred water turning into milk, a pavilion of rainbow light appearing in the sky. His parent’s lineage can be traced back to the noble clan who carried the great Jowo Shakyamuni statue from China to Tibet as a dowry to the then King of Tibet, Songtsengampo when he married the chinese Princess Wencheng, popularly known as “Gyasa” or the “chinese wife”.
