December 17 NBD Celebration in Perth Western Australia, and 2020 ABPI Executive Member Election for Bhutanese Living in Perth.


Bhutan’s National Day was celebrated in Perth by Bhutanese Living In Western Australia on 17 December 2019.

December 17 is a very important day for every Bhutanese since Bhutan got united in 1907 when Gongsar Ugyen Wangchuk was crown as the first King of Bhutan. Every Bhutanese celebrates 17th December as National Day of Bhutan (NBD). This year 2019 the Bhutanese Living in Perth Western Australia celebrates NDB organized by ABPI. This year was very special since ABPI invited government officials of WA, Senator Deans Smith and also took very forwarding steps for building the Bhutanese Community in WA by engaging Bhutanese to participate in ABPI executive member to run smoothly in the future.

Tandin Lhamo The small community of Bhutanese Living in Perth is celebrating the 112th National Day of Bhutan. On this auspicious day, the Association of Bhutanese in Perth Incorporated (ABPI) is organizing the Election election of an executive member for the Year 2020 (21st December 2020). I came forward to contest in 2020 ABPI executives Election for the post of Event Coordinator to serve Bhutanese Community living away from home and youths in particular by creating platforms focussing more on youth participation.
